Personal Survival During a Snow Storm If you are outside:
Find shelter:
- After you've found settler
try your best to keep dry.
- Cover all exposed skin.

No shelter:
- Build a fire: it will provide
you with heat and will attract people around.
- Set rocks around the fire:
this will absorb and reflect heat.
- Try to build a shelter.
If you are in a automobile
- Stay in your automobile.
- Open your windows a little so
carbon dioxide doesn't build up.
- Turn
on your dome light: this will draw attention to your car.
- Exercise your arms and legs
(toes and fingers) from time to time: this will help with circulation of the
blood.
If
you are in a building
- Stay inside.
- Turn on or start up a fire,
space heater or wood stove.
- Make sure there is proper
ventilation.
- Wear layers of loose, warm
clothing.
If the building has no heat
- Cover windows at night.
- Close off unused rooms.
- Shove
rags or other towels under doors to keep cold air out.
